Painting & Decorating of Extensions/New Builds . . .
Many people in today's society are choosing to extend their houses rather than have the headache of looking around for their ideal home. We are finding that many of our clients want the open plan living space which usually includes a large modern kitchen extensions to accommodate their ever growing family.
Truro - Playing Place
The house above you are viewing is of one in Truro we renovated. The two pictures above are of the extension they had built on the back of the house. The inside had a complete re-fit including a huge open planned kitchen dining room. Completion of project was around seven months.
St Ives - Wheal Venture
This was an Extension that we decorated out in St Ives for another company called Duchy Builds. The extension was made onto the back of a 1970's style bungalow. The entire loft was completely gutted and 2 bedrooms and a wet room was very tastefully constructed along with a beautiful staircase.
Mullion Cove, The Lizard
Above is another example from the Kernow Decorators portfolio. Photos of the inside will shortly follow. A fabulous new build property down the lizard point high up on the cliff tops over looking great ocean scenery.
Mannacan, St Martin (Nr Helston)
Above is another example of an extension we worked on at Mannacan near St Martins. The whole extension was painted in a white Dulux Diamond Matt, opening the inside up giving it the feel of real space, from start to finish we were there 5 weeks.
Polzeath Nr Wadebridge
Here we decorated the exterior. The client from London uses the house regular as a second home and just wanted the outside freshened up. The house is situated on the outskirts of New Polzeath Nr Wadebridge.
Port Issac
A 5 bed detached new build we decorated internally and externally.
The client required this house to be dry lined (TAPE/JOINTED). After Taping usually around 2-3 layers of easy fill is required to get a real plaster type finish, (you need this to hide all the joints) which posed no problems for the Kernow Decorating team. And after 10 weeks of hard graft we achieved a very good finish. The house itself was built by Eco-Builds of London, and will be used as a holiday home (second home for John/Marie). Its situated just outside Port Issac, long days travelling from Redruth Monday-Friday, however well worth it when you see the finished article.
Winston House, West Cornwall
This is Winston House which sits on the west coast. The clients moved from Cumbria 7years ago after walking the Cornish coastlines for many years and falling in love with the local pub The Tinners Arms. We decorated out this property in the month of May 2013 and took less than 8weeks. A neutral colour scheme was used throughout, however none of the exterior Sash windows we painted as they wanted the house to still maintain its old Cornish character...
